About Us
We are a conservative holiness church located in Sherman, Texas. We are focused on serving God and reaching the lost in Sherman and around the world.
Our Mission
The mission of the Sherman Bible Methodist Church is to glorify God by spreading scriptural holiness around the world through loving God with all our hearts and our neighbor as ourselves, through evangelism and discipleship, and through exemplifying the pattern of holy living taught in the Scriptures.
Our History
In the early 1980s, driven by a collective vision, several families in the Sherman-Denison area embarked on the journey of establishing a holiness church, initially gathering within a bank building in Sherman before relocating to an old lodge building in Denison, which they eventually acquired.
Recognizing the need for further expansion, plans were made to construct a larger sanctuary, leading to the establishment of our current location in 1999.
We extend a warm invitation for all to join us as we worship God and continue to grow connecting with our community.

Engaging the Community
Congregational Worship
Every Sunday morning and evening, our congregation gathers for traditional worship, anticipating God’s presence among us. Our services useally consist of congregational singing, prayer, and preaching delivered by a messenger of God.
Youth Groups
Join our Youth Group for an exciting and meaningful experience! Our group is specifically designed for young people like you, where you can connect with others, engage in fun activities, and learn more about ethical and spiritual values.
Homebuilders Group
Take a deep dive with the Homebuilders Group into the Bible with lively discussions. We are all about growing together in faith, friendship, and understanding, to thrive daily in our individual lives.
Senior Group
Our Senior Group offers a welcoming environment where you can deepen your understanding of the teachings and messages found in the Bible, all while cultivating meaningful friendships and growing spiritually.
Foreign Missions
As a missions-minded church, we endeavor to do our best to fulfill the call to “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.” We support many of missionaries and projects worldwide, partnering with the Bible Methodist Connection of Churches and other organizations.
Family & Youth Camps
Family and Youth Camps provide the unique opportunities to grow spiritually, connect with other families, make new friends, collaborate for service and outreach opportunities, foster a support community, and enjoy recreation & relaxation.
